David Burndrett - a UK performer, composer and arranger started off early playing double bass and cello. After four years at Chetham's School of Music he received the Ida Carroll string prize and moved on to Guildhall School of Music and Drama to study solo classical and orchestral technique. As a result, the Tom Allen Quintet was formed – it received a Perrier Jazz Award in 1999. Burndrett performs with numerous orchestras – Halle, BBC Philharmonic, CBSO, to name only a few. His personal site is dedicated to school music and already contains over 100 scores of arrangements of classical & popular music for school ensembles and orchestras.
