Hello!
My name is Carolanne and I have been composing close harmony pieces without paper since age 7. When I touched a piano for the first time at that tender age, it was like magic! I felt free, alive and I knew what I wanted to be doing for the rest of my life! That day was both a blessing and a trial (the picture in the gallery on my home page was taken directly after I finished playing my first piece) because I did not know better than to force my hands to do something they had not been trained to do, and so sustained very bad carpal tunnel injuries in both hands on that very day; the right hand being more severe.
Since then I have had the honor of attending and graduating from the illustrious Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts. Upon my graduation I was the first student in the history of the school to have been awarded a full-ride, four-year music scholarship for further study of concert piano. Though I eventually had to stop playing classically in order to salvage my hands, I did not stop playing altogether. The redemption of my life has been participating in the music departments of various churches in Europe and the United States.
In recent years I have been able to teach myself musical transliteration. Though I am still learning, I began publishing my years of work, which you will find in this catalogue. My hope is that you will find something in my work that causes you to make melodies in your heart to God that can never be silenced, because it is to Him I owe my gift and my life.
