The appearance of this unpretentious music instrument took place in the 16th century. As many may think, triangle is a too simple instrument that does not require forced effort in studying and mastering. But that's quite far from the truth, at least because triangle's pitch is indefinite and the specific nature of its sound cannot be imitated by anything. Therefore, it easily blends with the orchestra adding to the color of its harmony. Triangle made its long way to the modern orchestra from the Turkish janissary bands and today perfectly works sparringly with drums, cymbals and other orchestra members. Its interesting tinkling sound critically depends on the way it's suspended. By the way, triangle can be truly considered the first percussion instrument that is purely metal.
