The way Aretha sings Precious Lord Take My Hand is something to keep in your memory for ever, such a soft and heart-warming performing manner.. But I would als like to maker Elvis' version that I prefer ever a bit more in terms of the score. It is something you want to learn on your instrument and keep playing it when you have the mood for some gorgeous Pop-Gospel.

To me, Precious Lord, Take My Hand is the composition that actually changed the genre of Gospel music in history and influenced both profound 'classical' artists (Clara Ward, D.L. Coates, etc.) and contemporary Gospel musicians, pro and amateur players, like me. I think this is the moment when Gospel became warmer and more personal, just listen to Aretha's singing... I love the Blues element in the composition too, the frank and sincere feeling of playing the piece. Playing this masterpiece can't be described in words only, it is pure joy.
