“Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer” is ф popular Christmas song written by Randy Brooks. The first to perform this novelty song were the American duo Elmo and Patsy Shropshire (husband and wife). The couple self-released the song in 1979, but it was later released a few more times by other labels like Oink, Soundwaves and Epic. The song is not a very traditional tune for Christmas – according to its lyrics, the grandma does get run over by a deer and dies. It’s one of the songs that could get an equal number of positive and negative reviews at the same time. The song has begotten numerous parodies and covers. A few artists to record their own version were Family Force 5, Less Than Jake, Home Free and Reel Big Fish.

I guess I remain one of those on the neutral side who can't decide whether they are rather attracted or pushed aways by the song ) Still think the original version is a lot of fun
