This is the original version of the song "The Elephant" which can be found on the CD Wildlife in the Nursery (www/cdbaby.com/singinganimals).
In the version which you can hear here, the elephant sounds have been added by my collaborator Lorin Nelson, and these sounds sing one of the verses ... but this is optional for live performances.

The instrumentation is variable according to resources but a suggested grouping would include:
alto voice (or baritone voice), flute, vibraphone, bass marimba, banjo or guitar and tuba or double bass and a sampler keyboard for the elephant sounds if desired.
