An attractive and effective arrangement of this well loved Irish traditional Hymn. The carefully written lines for the singers is enhanced with a broken/block chordal piano accompaniment. This piece has dramatic contrasts in dynamics and textures with plenty of variety in the Celtic/Romantic style of the harmonies. A wonderful arrangement, which is fulfilling and satisfying to perform.

This is an elaborate and very effective arrangement of a well-known Irish hymn. The parts are mostly easy to learn, and a rich piano accompaniment enhances the overall texture. At the end of the 2nd verse the dynamics increase to provide a glorious fortissimo after which the piece fades and ends with soft, sustained chords. There is some "divisi" but not in the bass line.
