"Shake It Off" is the lead single from the 5th album "1989" by the American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift. The song was written by Taylor Swift, Max Martin and Shellback and released in 2014. It became Taylor's transition from country pop music to pop. Through this single Taylor Swift meant to address her detractors in a playful and funny way. Being warmly received by the public and music critics, the song became Swift's 2nd No.1 single in the US.

Apart from the apparently catchy mood, I should note that Shake It Off is one of the best compositions for arranging and improvising. Its beat and melody leave a lot of room for experiments and sometimes very curious remakes may appear, even on solo piano. Add some synthesizer to that or even something as exotic as marimbas, and you got a new mini-hit. I've already heard a couple of gorgeous covers, so I thought it's about time for me to bring up my own :)

This song is pure fun! And that's what it was meant to be! Maybe I am not the biggest fan of Taylor but I respect that in this girl - she can openly laugh at what critics say. And yeah, haters gonna hate anyway!
