This amazing transcription of the Csárdás by Vittorio Monti for piano can be performed as an encore in any concert. But be ready to play this well-known piece arranged for piano again and again! :) The difficulty level is about medium, but you need some practice to be able to play it Allegro vivace. The slow parts of Csárdás must be performed with loads of passion and molto espressivo. This arrangement for piano has original key D minor/ D major. Be ready for sudden tempo changes which are actually typical for Hungarian Csárdás.
Vittorio Monti wrote it for violin or mandolin and piano in 1904, but today it is commonly performed on violin. One of the most curious version I consider to be that tuba version, have a look at youtube: http://youtu.be/fYOsNp4O7AU . I especially recommend you to listen to the fragment at 1:20 . Wow! I never thought this instrument is able to play THAT quickly! Amazing, isn't it?
Please have a look inside the sheet music of the Csárdás Arrangement for piano you see here in order to make up your mind whether or not it is of the quality you want. Please contact me if you have any questions!
