I cannot fully express all feelings that this exceptionally beautiful melody wakes in my soul. During the listening to “Ave Maria” divine revelation goes down to every participant of this unforgettable and miraculous action. From all the sacred compositions I'm aware of, Ave Maria is the one I enjoy most. No deny that I like versions of J.S. Bach and Gabriel Faure, but my favorite is by Schubert.
After finding here a sheet music of this piece, I immediately purchased it, not lastly because an audio-file of orchestral arrangement was included - what a great idea! And quality is very good, too. I have bought quite a few digital scores, and can definitely say - it is hard to get better than this: the layout is concise and looks good both on screen and paper. My recommendations!

"Ellens Gesang III" -- commonly referred to by its first text, "Ave Maria" -- from the "7 Songs (Op. 52)" of Franz Schubert, arranged for string quartet.
Something of a wedding and funeral standard, Schubert's "Ave Maria" was not originally set to the well-known Latin text, but rather to a German translation of poetry from the Sir Walter Scott epic "The Lady of the Lake", and was published as part of a set of seven songs from the same work.
