'What is Earth?' is a response to a commission by the Henbury Singers in Bristol, conductor Oliver Barton, for a choral piece on some aspect of earth. My response was a kind of dramatic representation of an immaginary lecture about the earth in which bored students ask awkward questions. Many aspects of the word 'earth' are revealed, finalising in a quotation from Bahá'í Writings about the earth being one country.
