The overture op. 89 is an orchestral piece of Mendelssohn and therefore the orginal score is an orchestral score.
Unfortunately there are only two different transcriptions, one for piano 4-hands and one for two pianos for 8-hand.
Because of its beautiful melody, I was asked by a friend to do a transcription of the first part of the overture for piano 2-hands.
This first theme of the overture is a nice melodic piece, ideal for a small performance on a wedding, anniversary or similar events.
