Uplifting! Powerful! Dynamic! That was my very first impression of the Overture to the Marriage of Figaro when I heard it in Teatro Romano di Ostia Antica in Rome a year ago. The live sounding stole my soul forever. As a cellist I got down to the search of the sheet music for this piece – and here it is! I’m getting better and better, I may say. Oh Mozart, you will never cease to take my heart away by every single piece of yours!

A new arrangement for marimba duo by Nick Baron of Mozart's brilliant overture. It is one of the most popular and recognisable pieces of orchestral music ever written; exuberant and joyful throughout to listen to, and as much fun to play on marimba. Both parts are for two mallets and would be suitable for a college-standard percussionist. Watch out for those high-tempo scales from the original violin part.
