“Oh! You Pretty Things” is a glam rock song by the famous English rock legend David Bowie. The song was written by Bowie in 1971 and released as part of his 4th album “Hunky Dory”. Musically, the song was often compared to the popular song by The Beatles titled “Martha My Dear”, mostly because of the piano style. The lyrics of the single were inspired by the philosophy of Nietzsche and Aleister Crowley’s occultism. “Oh! You Pretty Thing” was very popular in 1971, becoming the No. 12 track that year. It was later covered by artists like Harvey Danger, Seu Jorge (a version in Portuguese), Australian rock band 67 Special, American dream pop band Au Revoir Simone, and, most recently, by Tedeschi Trucks Band.

To me, Bowie has always been associated with intense guitar sound. But this is one of his songs that sound just amazing on piano solo. It feels it's been created for piano solo (not mentioning the stunning vocals here). I' happy with the score version I got here and am planning to go on the exciting journey through Bowie's greatest songs soon!
