“It's Such a Pretty World Today” is a song written by the American songwriter Dale Emerson Noe and released in 1967. It was originally recorded and released as a country single by the American singer Wynn Stewart (author of "Wishful Thinking"). The song became his greatest music hit reaching the first position in the country music charts that year. In the same 1967, another popular singer Andy Russell, the author of the popular “Besame Mucho”, presented his cover version of the song. Russell’s interpretation of “It’s Such a Pretty World Today” did enjoy some popularity in the U.S. and Latin America, though it never equalled Wynn Stewart’s single. There were other artists who tried their hand at covering the song, including Loretta Lynn, Nancy Sinatra and Marie Osmond.

great old hit from the 70ies..i was 14 back then, maybe it's not the kind of music a young teenager would normally listening to at this age, but at the time the song somehow cut in my ear and is still associated with that wonderful carefree time of my life.
