The Serenade in Bb Major is Mozart's penultimate work for winds. Originally written for 13 winds, the "Gran Partita" was originally intended to be performed as the single work of a concert. With a total length of 35 to 45 minutes, it has something for every fan of the Mozart experience. The third movement, the Adagio, was made famous in the movie Amadeus and is one of the most beautiful pieces ever written.
I have not only attempted to preserve not only the original sound of the 13 winds but also the experience of performing this grand work for the performers. It can be performed in its entirety or with one or two movements only.

This is a setting for brass band of the famous Serenade No 10, which was featured in the Peter Shaffer film "Amadeus" about the life of Mozart's, as seen through the eyes of his rival Antonio Salieri.
Serenades were very poopular pieces in the classical period and Mozart and his contemporaries wrote many of them. They were intended to be played by small groups of musicians who could wander the streets of Vienna and Salzburg playing for a few coins.
In the film, this piece is used to illustrate Salieri's first encounter with Mozart. Any rumour that Salieri killed Mozart is purely conjecture!

The Serenade No. 10 for winds in B-flat major, K. 361/370a, is a serenade by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart scored for thirteen instruments: twelve winds and string bass. I arranged this great piece for string quintet (two violins, two cellos and viola). This work is a true diamond of the universal musical creations.

Here is Mozart's second Menuett from his magnificent Gran Partita for wind instruments, enabled for recorder ensemble or sextet. It is only fair that recorder players have a chance at playing Mozart - as he composed practically nothing for this lovely instrument, which went out of vogue in his time! I have arranged it here for SAATBGb.
The entire score of the Menuett, as well as each part separately, are all here in the PDF. Moreover, I have included the greatbass part for both bass and treble clef, as convenient for the player.
