This simple arrangement is one of a series of British folk songs for SAB (soprano/alto/bass) choir and piano. This song is a traditional song of timber workers using the "donkey" engine. There are many more verses but for the purpose of the medley I have restricted it to three verses, one for each part with harmonised chorus. The sound sample is an electronic preview and uses wind instruments to represent the voices.
The zip file includes accompaniments in mp3 and midi format and two versions of the score - one small to save paper and one large for easier reading. It also includes a pdf of the piano part on its own.

My earliest instruction was on the organ and dances, like the waltz, we very adaptable to the organ. I learned to play and to arrange many waltzes, including the Skater’s Waltz. It was a natural choice to arrange this waltz when I began writing for my piano students. Play the Skater’s Waltz with the feel of a grand waltz in the same style as the famous waltzes of Johann Strauss.

"Donkey Riding" is a traditional work song or sea shanty originally sung in Canada, Scotland and the North Eastern United States. It has also become popular as a children's song. The earliest written record of the song dates to 1857. It is generally assumed that the "donkey" of the song title is a reference to the "steam donkey", a kind of general-purpose steam engine.
In this arrangement, each of the melody instruments takes a turn at playing a simple variation on the tune while the piano tinkles gracefully around the harmonies. The sound sample is an electronic preview. The pdf file contains score and parts (including a separate piano part)
Versions are available for string trio and piano, wind trio and piano and saxophone trio and piano. There is also a simpler version for three part choir and piano on this site.
