Originally written for a clarinet player in band, this dream like work goes through many different changes in tonality and structure. It begins with a peacful solo in the clarinet, joined later by a light piano accompaniment, changing to several keys using the circle of fifths, etc. A cadenza like section for clarinet and piano then leads to a poco animato coming to a climax at 114 more or less bringing back the section from the beginning, then ending quite peacefully. Good for the intermediate clarinetist.
