This is an unknown work by Domenico Mazzocchi, Italian early Baroque composer who wrote only vocal music and worked for the powerful in Rome at the start of the 17th century. The original photostats of this score is in the National Library of Florence. The work can be performed by SSA voices or SST voices, soloists or chamber ensemble. The music can be sung during a church service or on a concert program. The basso continuo part is basically laid out to accompany the voices as was the practice during this time period. The text is in Italian and is a Hymn of Praise to the Blessed Virgin.
