This is a short a cappella Italian Renaissance song for three voices (Sopr-Mezzosop-Tenor) or SSA (sung up a fourth) on anonymous 16th century poetry by a composer contemporary to Luca Marenzio, Paolo d'Aragona. This piece is contained in a collection published in Naples, Italy in 1616. A piano reduction is provided for rehearsal purposes. The piece would sound nice also performed by three woodwinds or a string trio. The present edition is to facilitate performance. It contains two verses and a translation in English.
