Three miniatures for violin and piano involve the listener in the musical atmosphere of the early XX century, the time of mute cinema. The winsome and sentimental piece «Just in F» and desperately mischievous «Venture», perfectly answer the purposes of the stylistic model, chosen by the composer. The third quintuple-time piece is the «Phantom-Waltz», plaintive and impulsive. It is the capturing vortex of dancing with inevitably repeated theme and sharp violin sounds, which dramatic character differs it from the previous compositions.
