English Suite No. 1
This suite is loosely based on three old English folk dances:-
1. Gypsy Round - “The waggle taggle gypsies, O!" in a minor.
2. Lullaby - “Sweet England” in D major.
3. Jig - "A frog he would a-wooing" in A major.
The previews and sound samples have been uploaded with the separate dance movements.
These light but moderately difficult pieces are well suited to players who wish to extend their repertoire with melodic developments of folk melodies (for classical guitar) for private or professional use.
