"Let Praises Ring" is an a cappella contemporary Latin motet for four mixed voices, in a style reminiscent of Early Renaissance and Medieval polyphony. The lyrics are from 14th c. Germany. The piece can be performed by a Choral Ensemble or by 4 soloists, and can be doubled by instruments. The pdf includes the lyrics. The piece is also available for four equal voices: SSAA.

1. Resonet in laudibus
cum jucundis plausibus,
Sion cum fidelibus.
Apparuit quem genuit Maria.
Gaudete, gaudete,
Christus natus hodie.
Gaudete, gaudete,
ex Maria virgine.

2. Sion lauda Dominum
Salvatorem omnium;
virgo parit Filium.
Apparuit …

3. Natus est Emmanuel,
quem praedixit Gabriel,
testis est Ezechiel,
Apparuit …

4. Sancta tibi Trinitas
os omnium gratias
resonet altissimas.
Apparuit …

1. Let praises ring
with joyous applause:
To Sion’s faithful
The child born of Mary has appeared.
Rejoice, rejoice,
Christ is born today.
Rejoice, rejoice,
in the Virgin Mary.

2. Sion, praise the Lord,
Saviour of all,
the virgin gives birth to a son.
The child born…

3. Immanuel is born,
As was announced by Gabriel,
Ezekiel is the witness,
The child born…

4. Thanks to you, Holy Trinity,
the voices of all
resound on high.
The child born…
