„Adventure Of A Lifetime“ ist ein Song der englischen Rock-Band Coldplay, der am 6. November als Leadsingle aus ihrem 7. Studioalbum „A Head Full of Dreams“ veröffentlicht wurde. Der Song wurde von den Kritikern für den ungewöhnlichen Disco-Sound hoch gelobt und war kommerziell auch sehr erfolgreich. Er konnte Platz 7 der britischen Single-Charts belegen, Top-20 in Deutschland, Österreich und in der Schweiz (wie auch in anderen europäischen Ländern) erreichen und die Hitparaden in Kanada und den USA toppen. Bereits Ende 2015 erschien das Musikvideo, das vom langjährigen Regisseur der Band Mat Whitecross stammt.

I had been waiting for the sheet music since the very first day of the song's release. Was too curious to try out Coldplay's new style, as Adventure of a Lifetime really doesn't sound/play like any of the band's song (and there have been too many of them to compare). I was so used to their 'regular' soft rock style that the cheerful Adventure did feel tricky when I embarked on the score. However, thanks to the cheerful and upbeat pattern, you get in the rhythm very fast. To date, it's surely one of my most favorite Coldplay pieces to perform on piano. Too bad the band's decided to take a pause in making music (
