„Kaleidoscope“ ist in Coldplay-Song aus dem Jahr 2015. Im Dezember 2015 veröffentlichte eine der berühmtesten und populärsten Bands aus Grossbritannien ihr 7. Studiowerk „A Head Full of Dreams“, das bereits die Top-Positionen in den Charts weltweit belegte. Das von den Bandmitgliedern geschriebene Lied erschien als 7. Titel aus dem Album. Arrangiert wurde es von Rik Simpson und dem norwegischen Duo Stargate, die am ganzen Album wesentlich beteiligt waren. Der Song ist eine der kürzesten Kompositionen der Sammlung, zusammen mit dem Instrumentalstück „Colour Spectrum“. Wie in „Colour Spectrum“, wurde ein Gedicht des persischen Dichters Rumi in „Kaleidoscope“ verwendet.

Kaleidoscope very much reminds me of another track from Coldplay's most recent album- Colour Spectrum. From the reviews of the pianist who performed one or both of these pieces, I figured that these are far from being the album's favourites. However, I do find a certain magnetism in Kaleidoscope for its atmospheric piano melody that makes the entire tune sound somewhat space-like. I know such things are perhaps not to the wider public's tastes but to me they present a bigger value than the predictable pop tunes that are so common today.
