“Colour Spectrum” is a song by the famous alternative rock band from the UK – Coldplay. It is an instrumental composition that appears as the tenth track on the band’s recent album titled “A Head Full of Dreams”. The 7th studio work by the legendary band was released in 2015 and became No.1 and No.2 album in Great Britain and the USA, relatively. “Colour Spectrum” is the shortest track on the album lasting only a minute. Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin is singing a poem to it: it was written by the 13th-century poet known as Rumi and is titled “Guest House”. The song’s authorship (words and music) is attributed to a big creative team consisting of Coldplay members (Chris Martin, Will Champion,Jonny Buckland & Guy Berryman), the Stargate duo team (Tor Erik Hermansen & Mikkel Storleer Eriksen), together with Venor Timothy Yard, Scott Alan Zant and Marcos Jesus Tovar.

It was really funny to find out that the shortest composition on the entire album has the biggest team of creators behind it ) Maybe I am somehow underating the guys' work but to me this is also one of the simplest pieces on the Head Full of Dreams. Besides the one-minute duration, it as well has a very basic music pattern that a confident beginning pianist could learn in minutes. I do like the lyrical part, though and the nonintrusive melody.
