Complete scoe of the "Partita No.6 in E minor BWV 830" for Piano. Composed in 1730 by Johann Sebastian Bach. Rewritten and elaborated in Rome in 2019 by Santino Cara.
Movements: 1. Toccata (Allegro moderato), 2. Allemande (Lento, ma non molto), 3. Courante (Allegro vivace), 4. Aria (Allegretto), 5. Sarabande (Andante espressivo), 6. Tempo di Minuetto (Un pò allegro), 7. Gigue (Allegro).

Four movements from the Partita #6 BWV 830 by J.S. Bach arranged for two classical guitars. The Toccata, Air, Gavotte and Gigue. Modeled on the interpretation of Glenn Gould. A powerful work of profundity and playfulness. The Gigue is one of the rare examples of a duple meter gigue.

This is one of Bach's strangest Gigues. It isn't i compound or triple metre for a start and the melodiy, which is treated in a very contrapuntal style is very angular and ungainly. The tempo, as marked on my original is also - relatively speaking - quite stately and hardly qualifies as 'Allegro'.
This is a most unusual and interesting item for a programme based on Bach's music or the Baroque in general.
