Michaelidagen
For Cello and Organ.
Michaelidagen is a well known hymn, that exists in a number of versions. Here, the melody is presented by the cello after a short introduction. Right after, it is played by the organ, and here the cello takes up the triplet figure introduced by the organ in bar 10. A development section follows, the piece ends with a recapitulation of the melody by the cello, in a higher register than before.
