This piece is my first work for concert band entitled, "Mary"-- A Prelude for Concert Band in D Minor. This work is based on part rock song, part of a story about a ghost named Mary that ends up coming back to haunt people that have wronged her. It's a wild ride and a carnival all in one. This piece is scored for concert band with parts. The conductor's score runs about 23 pages. Part pages vary. The run time on this work is approximately 6 minutes. In terms of the piece's level, it rates a level 5.5. It would be good for advanced high school bands and college bands as well as professional bands.
