This is a wonderfully gloomy piece, with plenty of despair ! Actually, it has great concert potential, and with a vocal range that would suit a voice with rich, dark colouring.
That range is from G sharp below middle C, to E an octave above middle C, with main tessitura around B-F (either side of middle C.)
