Chalk Circle Suite - part V This originates from the incidental music to the Chalk Circle performed in 1970 at Cambridge and is now a duo for 2 violins - in the "easy" Section. Tuneful but modern in harmony - pleasing to listen to and compliments some of the more modern sounds in some of the Chalk Circle Suite. While the music was incidental the words of a poem from 1968 I wrote at school inspired the work "it was Spring Lambs frisked in the smut of the city Green grass cried While blue skies shed their tears on the streets" - with other verses to follow. Note how the second line overlaps with the third. The words fit the main theme before it is developed in the remaining bars.. For the full poem please contact me.
