Kraken is an extended version of one movement from A Quest Northwards. It is program music, telling the story of the great Kraken, a tentacled monster from the deepest depths of the ocean, battling against a large ironclad shop. It also features a love song for the Kraken led by the Cor Anglais.
This work is exciting and moving, and will create vivid pictures in the minds of any audience.
Instrumentation is as listed below, however arrangements for other instrumentation can be made by request.
