Source: This concerto, like all other concertos of the Opera 8, They were rebuilt by Santino Cara from the manuscript of the edition by Michel-Charles Le Cene "Il Cimento dell'Armonia e dell'Invenzione" of 1725 kept at the International Museum and music library of Bologna.

This is my concert transcription of all 3 movements of Antonio Vivaldi's Winter (L'Inverno) from The Four Seasons. This is not a verbatim arrangement/transcription. I wanted it to be a "piano piece" like Bach-Busoni's Chaconne. It is an advanced level piece. I hope you enjoy it.
Other movements are available individually but the this complete 3 movements in one file is a better bargain. The complete Seasons (Spring, Summer Autumn, and Winter) are also available in complete form.

This score, 'Winter' is of the Four Seasons from A. Vivaldi for String Orchestra; is designed specifically for youths that are in elementary to middle school youth orchestras. Each part allow the students to get an idea of the 'real' Winter in terms of the melody and rhythm. This Arrangement is in D Major of two sharps of which normally is the 1st scale one learn at an early age! so, playing this music become even easier! One does not have to worry about challenging keys and fingerings as well! All parts are designed by which all parts are playable and fun! Youth Orchestra Conductors and Music Teachers can now rehearse more than this music because, these arrangements does not consume much of ones' time! Before the 1st rehearsal however, one should talk through the score (i.e. repeat signs, dynamics, etc..) and then, finally play!!! Conductors and Music Teachers can now enjoy seeing their students playing Vivaldi with ease and less stress! because this Arrangement is fun! This arrangement is made for the earliest beginners, and is meant for either teacher plus student, or intermediate level player with beginner. There are two versions - one has an extension in the cello 2 part, and the other is extension-free.
Cello 1 - all bass clef, shifting to 6th position.

This is my concert transcription of the 2nd movement (Largo) of Antonio Vivaldi's Winter (L'Inverno) from The Four Seasons. This is not a verbatim arrangement/transcription. I wanted it to be a "piano piece" like Bach-Busoni's Chaconne. It is an advanced level piece. I hope you enjoy it.
