Anton Bruckner's "Locus Iste", im Herbst 1869 entstanden, ist ursprünglich für vierstimmigen Chor a capella komponiert worden. Es ist ein dreiteiliges Graduale, das durch eine einfache, lyrische Tonsetzung mit einer verhaltenen Chromatik und viel Abwechslung in der Dynamik gekennzeichnet ist. Bruckner komponierte das Werk für die Einweihung der Votivkapelle im Mariä-Empfängnis-Dom in Linz.
Die vorliegende Ausgabe enthält zusätzlich eine Partitur in C.
