This piece for symphony orchestra begins with a fanfare and then the woodwinds play a Christmas Carol verse, followed by the full symphonic orchestra with another variation on the same Christmas Carol melody. It was written originally for the Fort Sherman Symphonette consistent wit the style of symphonic music around the time of 1890.
