“Five Foot Two, Eyes of Blue” (also titled “Has Anybody Seen My Girl?”) is a popular American song from the 1920s. It is not clear where the song originated from, but there are two main versions of the composition today. In the first one, the music was written by Percy Weinrich and the lyrics by Jack Mahoney. The other, which is the most popular, marks Ray Henderson as composer of the music and Sam M. Lewis together with Joseph Widow Young as the authors of the lyrics. The latter version of the score was published in 1925, with recording by The California Ramblers, and the sheet music by Leo Feist, Inc. The lyrics of the chorus begin with “Five foot two, eyes of blue, But oh! what those five foot could do, Has anybody seen my girl?”. The song was covered multiple times over the years. It was recorded by such music artists as Bing Crosby, Guy Lombardo, Milla Jovovich, Dean Martin, Arthur Fields and more. This is the composition you can hear in movies like “The Great Gatsby”, "Has Anybody Seen My Gal?" and on the shows like “The Ina Ray Hutton Show” and “The Lucy Show”. In the late 60s, the song (with adapted lyrics) also became a popular football chant in England.
