This is a contemporary madrigal in classical form for 3 women's or children's voices on poetry by the Italian artist Michelangelo Buonarroti. The pdf download includes the setting of both the original Italian verses and a translation useful for performance in English. The audio clip was recorded by the Ensemble Tempus Floridum from Florence, Italy. A keyboard accompaniment is provided for rehearsals. The madrigal can be sung by either a choral group or 3 soloists, even with just three instruments.
