Elliot Corner wrote A suite of 5 preludes for viola and has published his work with OLC Barcelona Sheet Music: "Johann Sebastian Bach, though a wonderful man, unfortunately never wrote a suite of solo works for the Viola, whilst writing renowned suites for both Cello and Violin. I wanted there to be a Bach style work for the Viola as part of my goal to fill in the Viola repertoire.
The Suite of Preludes is a homage to Bach's greatest solo pieces, the preludes from his cello suites. The introduction leads into the next five pieces, which are all variants on an aspect of the introduction.
It is dedicated to my Viola teacher at the Royal College of Music, Sarah-Jane Bradley in thanks for her unwavering support."
You can see a score sample or listen to the whole suite in this page before purchase.
