Fantasy for Solo Piano was commissioned by Barbara English Maris in 1996. It was then performed by Stephen Mannes at the Capital Composer’s Alliance concert in 1997 (Washington DC), and received a review in the Washington Post. The work was registered with BMI.
Fantasy for Solo Piano is a very advanced 20th Century, postmodern work based partially on a tone row. It is somewhat reminiscent of Schoenberg, Liszt, and Prokofiev.
