This is an archival version of Songs for Soprano and string trio (violin, viola, and cello), originally written in 1996-1997. Parts are not currently available. Anyone wishing to perform this piece may purchase multiple copies and cut and paste individual lines onto sheets.
Note that the title has been abridged from the original: Songs from “The Masque of the Inner Temple,” which was registered with BMI. The lyrics consist of three poems by Francis Beaumont (1584-1616): I. Song for a Dance, II. Bridal Song, and III. The Masquers Called Away. As an alternate, the songs may be sung with the syllable “Ah.”
