A humorous choral song in German written for three part choir (sopranos, altos and basses) I discovered Balduin Bählamm (by Wilhelm Busch) thanks to a book given to me by a German colleague. I decided to use the section where the galumphing poet discovers the questionable joys of nature in his encounters with earwigs and birds. Of course I am using the double meaning of Ohrwurm, in hopes that the tune will be regarded as catchy :-) The sound sample is a peformance by Matthew Curtis of www.choraltracks.com
