“Wings” is a song by the young singer and musician from England Jasmine van den Bogaerde better known as Birdy. The song was co-written and co-produced by Ryan Tedder and was first released in 2013 as a digital download. Later that year it also appeared on Birdy’s 2nd album “Fire Within” as the lead single. Although the indie rock “Wings” did not reach Birdy’s well-known song “Skinny Love” in popularity, it still had its portion of acclaim. The song was used a few times in trailers, shows and TV series like The Vampire Diaries, for example. After it got into the Lloyds Horse Story 250 soundtrack, “Wings” regained its popularity and reached the 8th position in UK Singles Chart.

wunderschönes musikstück. die frau ist eigentlich jünger als ich bin aber imho sie hat ungehörtes musikalisches talent (und zuerst gefiel sie mir überhaupt nicht). wunderbare melodie und wunderschöne instrumentalisierung, ein echtes vergnügen zu spielen. genauso muss Birdy klingen ;)

What I feared most when purchasing this score was that beyond the available preview the score would eventually get too hard for me to master and I wouldn't be able to cope with the continually complicating rhythms. It turned out easier that I could imagine. In fact, after playing Birdy's "Skinny Love", "Wings" would seem way less unachievable. Can recommend this score to intermediates, easily.
