..."One of the favourite Shatrova`s musicians is untimely deceased Azerbaijan pianist and composer Vaghif Mustafa-zade, notable for his bringing national coloring to jazz music. Ethnic motives are also a great attraction to her; she naturally interlaced them with musical stem of compositions in original manner of her own. Such are «Three Fantasias on Themes of Tatar Folk Songs», which are included in the CD in the composer`s rendition... The third piece «Zuleikha is Coming» is worked out as a strong dynamic wave. Beginning the composition clearly as a lyricall ballad, the composer reveals new sides of the character in the theme development. Gradual accumulation of measure-rhythmic elasticity and dense facture through sharp ostinato bass figures, block-chords, and filling facture space, leads to the so-called «drive» culmination, the acme of the whole cycle"...
