A lively original chorinho. Choro or chorinho is a style of Brazilian music that originated in Rio de Janeiro toward the end of the 19th century. A combination of European music and Afro-Brazilian rhythms, it's in some ways akin to ragtime, but with a definite Brazilian flavor. Luiz Simas' original chorinhos have many other influences, such as jazz, bossa-nova, classical. Some of them stick to a more traditional form, while others are truly adventurous and can be called "modern" chorinhos.
