“Runnin’” or "Lose It All" is an R&B/soul song by the English musician, songwriter, DJ and producer Shahid Khan better known by the stage name Naughty Boy. The song features the popular American R&B singer Beyoncé and Arrow Benjamin. “Runnin’” was released in 2015 and became a single from Naughty Boy’s 2nd album. The power ballad was highly praised by the critics, particularly for Beyoncé forceful vocals. A few parallels were drawn between “Runnin’” and Beyoncé’s own compositions “Haunted”, “Halo”, and “XO”. Melodically, the song incorporates the elements of house and dance music, it features melancholic piano. Naughty Boy also worked with such prominent artists as Chipmunk, Emeli Sandé, Ed Sheeran, and Sam Smith. He is mostly famous for the hits from the 1st album – “La La La”, “Never Be Your Woman”, “Lifted”, “Think about It”, and “Wonder”.

To be honest, I was expecting more from this composition. Yes, the score seems to be accurate and well laid-out, with the vocal line and the piano melody just fine, but I'm talking about another sort of satisfaction - a performer's satisfaction. It sounds so attractive in the original, with Beyonce's power of the vocals and Naughty Boy's production elements, but in fact, when you've learnt to play it yourself, for some reason it does not give you that feeling of artistic elevation once you realize you've conquered the sheets and can play it more or less fluently, Or am I the only one out there who noticed that peculiarity about Runnin'? The song itself seems to be very decent.
