My second favourite piece from The Legend of 1900. Generally, the soundtrack to this film was the result of a very successful confluence of facts: the renowned director Tornatore, the talented composer Morricone and, last but not least, the dispositive theme - a story of a stunning pianist-virtuoso. Wasn't it the perfect ground for the composer's writing freedom? The Crisis, in particular, is a somewhat 'heavy' piece, psychologically, but compositionally it makes a very well-balanced piano solo.
