I listened to this beautiful motet and decided to make an adaption for my chorus for Three Female Voices. The piece can be sung on a concert program or for Mass during the Easter season. It was originally written for 4 mixed voices and I read that the tenor part was missing and was recreated by someone else. Palestrina's music is so perfect theoretically that it is easy to recreate missing sections or adapt it to a different vocal Group. It may be interpreted by a chorus or by three soloists.
Regina coeli, laetare, alleluia. Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia. Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia. Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.
Queen of heaven, rejoice, Hallelujah. For He whom thou didst merit to bear, Hallelujah. Has risen, as He said, Hallelujah. Pray for us to God, Hallelujah.
