Violin Concerto KAIROS exists of three movements: I Kairos, II Panta rhei and III Ananke, each of which can be performed as concert piece itself, but also all three together as the complete concert. Kairos (Gr.) means the right moment or favorable opportunity. In the mythology of Greek antiquity, he was the personification of it. He served the cosmic order in his own way: grab the right moment when it comes. The music moves through many tonalities, but ends in g minor.

Panta rhei (Gr., Herakleitos ± 500 b.C.) means: earthly reality is like water: everything flows, is moving. D. Schneiderfranken says that Panta rhei can be seen as nature becoming. "How high for the ancient Greeks their gods may have stood, yet the sages of those days knew an even higher, mysterious principle, to which they even thought their gods subordinate: Ananke (Gr.), Necessity. The highest spiritual ordering principle in man and in all life." (Bô Yin Râ) Is similar to the cosmic Order - Rta (Sanskrit) - in Vedic mythology. The music (A) starts violently and full of life in F maj., then changes into a canon-like ballad (B) of the violin: ad libitum followed by a Kadenza (C) in which elements from I Kairos and II Panta rhei. Ananke ends with the repeat of A.

Panta rhei (Gr., Herakleitos ± 500 b.C.) means: earthly reality is like a flowing river: always moving and renewing itself. Always different every moment, and yet the same river. Datti Schneiderfranken says that Panta rhei can be seen as 'nature becoming'. Likewise the music - after the multi-colored Introduction with two themes, a new melody starts with a kind of Passacaglia, like a waterfall that gets bigger and bigger, and in which all melodies tumble over each other. But moving through many tonalities, it ends with an ecstatic violin, above a gamelan orchestra structure, in d minor.

“All life in the physical-sensory and in the spiritual cosmos is expressed as movement. All life, however, takes shape. ” Joseph Anton Schneiderfranken / Bo Yin Ra, The Book of Beyond. I hope that this music thus created works as a memory aid (aide-memoires).
