Oh, Shubert, you will always be my music mentor. I heard and tried the original composition, but I should say that Liszt’s transcription caught my interest. That’s a strong piece that is equally hard and captivating to perform. I presented the work to my students and the feedback was more than positive. Now that makes up a compulsory part of my own program and always brings joy to the public enjoying it.
