This work was co-commissioned by BBC Radio 3 and The Royal Philharmonic Society for soprano Katharina Konradi. The cycle about childhood, seen from the mother's point of view, sets poetry by A.E. Stallings, Eugene Field and Joyce Sutphen. The premiere took place October 25, 2020 at Wigmore Hall in London, UK with Katharina Konradi and Joseph Middleton.
